Personal Information

Dr. Castellone is the ECHN Transitional Year Residency Program Director. He received his medical degree from Stony Brook University School of Medicine, and completed his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Connecticut. He received his MBA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

He is the Vice-Chairman of Emergency Medicine, EMS Medical Director, Chairman of the North Central Connecticut EMS Medical Advisory Committee, and Stroke Program Medical Director at ECHN. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians, a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a Certified Physician Executive, a Certified Patient Experience Professional, and is Certified in Healthcare Quality Management.

Dr. Castellone is a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Emergency Medicine and Traumatology at the University Of Connecticut School Of Medicine, and is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Emergency Medicine at the University Of New England College Of Osteopathic Medicine.

His community service interests include serving on the Beryl Institute’s Physician Council and Global Patient and Family Advisory Board, as well as on the Manchester Community College Foundation Board of Directors. He enjoys snowmobiling, skiing, biking, running, and spending time with his family.
