Howard A. (Andy) Selinger M.D. is a Family Physician who has joined the faculty of the ECHN Family Medicine Residency. Dr. Selinger practiced family medicine for 34 years in Bristol, CT. where he established lifelong patient relationships before coming to ECHN. He also holds the position of Chair of the Department of Family Medicine at the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine, Quinnipiac University. Dr. Selinger has been awarded numerous student teaching awards from The University of Connecticut School of Medicine and the Frank H. Netter MD School of Medicine.
Dr. Selinger is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Bowdoin College, the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and the Thomas Jefferson University Family Medicine Residency. He is a passionate believer in the therapeutic value of the clinician -patient relationship.
When not practicing medicine, Dr. Selinger enjoys contributing his time to formulating Health Policy in Connecticut, loves to ski, kayak, swim, run and spend time with his wife of 36 years, Karen, and whenever possible his three adult children and their partners. He is truly impressed by how welcoming everyone at ECHN, “I feel like I have come home” and believes we are truly integrating medicine into our community by making it accessible and affordable.
