Our residency programs utilize the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) and applicants are encouraged to apply early. The following supporting documents are required and should be directed to ERAS:

• Curriculum vitae
• Dean’s letter
• Personal statement
• Recent photo (passport type and size)
• Three letters of recommendation from persons familiar with your clinical performance
• USMLE or COMLEX transcript, with scores

Interviews begin in October and end mid-December. Once your application has been reviewed, the department coordinators will contact you with a list of available interview dates.

Family Medicine Residency Interview Schedule

All of our interviewing activities will occur remotely in 2022. Applicants invited for an interview will be provided with instructions for scheduling interview dates through ERAS, along with additional materials and Zoom links via email.

Our Residency Programs participate in the NRMP Match.

After Match day, you will receive information from the coordinator for your program. This information will detail the process to become an Eastern Connecticut Health Network (ECHN) employee and resident physician.

You will also receive an offer letter and/or a resident employment agreement.

ECHN hosts a two week orientation in the month of June for all new residents. During orientation, you will receive all the tools to successfully begin your first year of residency.
